Description

The through fixing bolts M5 x 42, GSV-No. 6640 K, are precision-manufactured fastening elements designed for the secure installation of short backplates on doors with a thickness of 35 to 40 mm. The fixing set consists of a through fixing screw and a matching through fixing nut (sleeve), forming a coordinated two-part assembly system that ensures reliable and stable mounting of door furniture. The M5 metric thread guarantees compatibility with standard short plate fittings and provides sufficient tensile strength for long-term use under regular mechanical load.

Manufactured from brass and finished with a satin chrome plating, the components combine the mechanical advantages of brass with enhanced surface protection and a refined appearance. Brass offers good corrosion resistance and dimensional stability, while the satin chrome plated surface improves wear resistance and provides a uniform, low-reflection metallic finish suitable for modern architectural hardware. The plating also adds an additional protective layer against environmental influences such as humidity and hand contact.

With an overall length of 42 mm, the bolts are specifically dimensioned for doors between 35 and 40 mm thick, ensuring optimal thread engagement without excessive protrusion or material stress. The through fixing principle distributes clamping forces evenly across both sides of the door, reducing the risk of loosening over time compared to single-sided screw fixings. Installation is straightforward using standard tools, allowing controlled tightening and secure alignment of the short plates. These through fixing bolts provide a durable and technically reliable fastening solution for residential and commercial door hardware applications.
